Nov 9: Nickeas has signed a minor league deal with the Mets that includes an invite to spring training, Marc Carig of the New York Newsday reports. Nickeas will get to make his case for a roster spot come spring, but after hitting just .174/.242/.229 in 47 games for the club last season, chances are he starts 2013 at Triple-A Las Vegas.
