May 8: Floyd (elbow) underwent successful surgery Wednesday, MLB.com's Scott Merkin reports. Floyd was optimistic despite facing a lengthy rehab process after the surgeons repaired his UCL and flexor muscle. He's officially out for the rest of 2013 and his availability for 2014 remains in serious doubt as well.
