KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Texas Rangers pitchers Alexi Ogando and Neftali Feliz are scheduled to begin rehab assignments this week.

Ogando, who is on the disabled list with a strained right groin, is slated to throw one inning Thursday for Triple-A Round Rock followed by two innings on Saturday.

If all goes well with Ogando, manager Ron Washington said he could join the Rangers on Tuesday in Oakland.

Feliz, working on returning from elbow inflammation, is expected to pitch two innings Sunday for Round Rock and stay with Round Rock to pitch on the following Wednesday (July 18) as he builds up arm strength.

Koji Uehara (strained right lat muscle) is scheduled for one inning of work on Saturday in Round Rock and Mark Lowe (right intercostal muscle) will throw in Seattle on Friday as he starts his progression back.

Washington is looking forward to getting some of his key pieces back.

"We need to get healthy," Washington said. "We've done a good job of holdling this together, but you never heard anything coming out of Texas like, 'Woe us, we lost this, we lost that.' No, we just play baseball. We want those guys back because they are very important to our success."
