BOSTON -- That pained look on Dwyane Wade's face as he watched his potential game-winning 3-pointer bounce off the rim? We've seen that before, as recently as the first round of the playoffs. Those ra... Read full story
Lebron is a freakish athlete but Durant is a better NBA player. FACT. 347 Days ago

If D-Wade had gone straight up with his last shot, rather than fading away, it would not have been short. It very likely would have gone in, for the win. 347 Days ago

Bottom line is Lebron is the greatest player in the NBA until behind in the 4th quarter. Give him a big lead in the 4th quarter and he is still the best player in league. Lebron is not a winner... He is a stat producer when the pressure is off... 347 Days ago
rofenn934
He's also pretty good behind in the 4th quarter when playing the Bobcats in january or march.... 347 Days ago

You can point to stats and say haslem is a big part of the heat but to say hes the major factor is flat out wrong. They need Bosh not Haslem. The Celtics have momentum and they're not giving itback. OKC vs Boston 347 Days ago

Bosh coming back would be the best thing for the Celtics. It would mean less touches for James. 348 Days ago

Celtics fan here, and I think it's silly to say only Dwyane Wade or LeBron James should be taking the last shot. Obviously you draw up the play with one of them in mind, but the last shot should be the BEST shot, no matter who takes it. I remember Glen Davis of all people hitting a game winner in the playoffs, and that's a perfect example. James is right not to force up an ugly shot when Haslem or another guy is open. 348 Days ago

I love how people are quick to say that it's Spolstra's fault, hey heat fans ever think that you have role players who can't execute in key situations. While I would rather have Doc as a coach Spo is still a top 10 league coach. 348 Days ago
jonkerr5
spo is a good coach. but not a great one. he doesn't make adjustments on the fly and is as unimaginative as can be offensively. he keeps throwing james jones out there and he contributes NOTHING. he's awful defensively and cannot do anything aside from shoot wide open jumpers. i cringe when he's at the scorer's table. 348 Days ago

I bet if LeBron, the King, wasn't so taxed, he, the MVP, could've made that game winner. Instead, he, the Chosen One, passed it. How are those talents working out for you South Beach? 348 Days ago

Pretty sure Cali isn't little. But hey, can't argue with bright skies, 80's and perfect beach conditions. I enjoyed watching Lebron foul out, at least he didn't have an excuse to miss the game winner 348 Days ago

"Not one championship, not two championships, not three championships...."
It won't be this year. Miami will be lucky to escape the aged Celtics and if they do escape, they have to play Spurs or Superson.... er Thunder. Both teams actually play as teams, play defense and will combat anything Miami or Boston brings their way.
Miami still needs a point guard. 348 Days ago

I'm a heat fan and I agree, I think we do need a legit pg like Rondo...much as I dislike his $@%!$ looking face, he's amazing. The celtics would be no where CLOSE to what they are without him and I think the Heat need the same kind of point guard, but the comments about the post game is right too, but we dont need additional players for that, just practice 347 Days ago

Miami needs a Point Guard, a Center, a Bench and a Coach. The Big 3 thought they would be the Celtics, but forgot they needed that stuff. Riley is not picking this team. LEBRON IS. He is assemblying a Cavalier bunch around him instead of keeping equals in all areas around him. When the Heat won they had Zo, Shaq, Wade, Payton, Posey, Walker, White Chocolate, Haslem, etc... These Heat don't have $@%! compare to that. 348 Days ago

miami needs a pg. period. wade and james are not pg's. not even close. 348 Days ago

An elite anything makes a team better.. im sure dwight howard would make any team better. Is that necessarily what they need? No. Miami needs bosh back 348 Days ago

how can you watch these games and not know that an elite point guard makes a team better(see the best in Rondo)....it amazes me how people don't understand this game ! 348 Days ago

I disagree that they need a point guard. James and Wade fill the role fine. 348 Days ago

I'm seeing a lot of Heat fans say, Phil Jackson to the Heat, or Steve Nash to the Heat, or some other star to the Heat. You mean to tell me 3 of the top 25 players in the NBA is not enough??? C'mon, you can't have it all. You guys have the "Big 3". Now you guys want the "Big 12". LOL@THE MIAMI HEAT fans. 348 Days ago

Actually, if you just rank forwards, and look at Bosh's usage rate and opportunities (as the 3rd option) he is...when you consider that he and Pau Gasol's (another 3rd option) are similar (Pau's a little better) and that people consider Pau a top 25 player - then you would have to consider that Bosh is...he's on the cusp, but he's there...Right now @ overall value - NBA.com has Bosh ranked @ #27 - people who are ahead of him, but whom I would put behind him are Cousins, Pierce, Jennings, Wall, David Lee, Al Jefferson, & Monta Ellis for various reasons - selfishness, chemistry, overblown stats, age & role etc...that's 7 spots - which places him @ 20. Behind him, who I'd possibly move up are : Irving, Nash, Garnett, Duncan, & Marc Gasol...that's 5 spots, so he would drop to 25...and this is as a THIRD OPTION, on a team where James and Wade take over 50% of the teams points...and he JUST is at 25...taking that into consideration, he HAS to be @ least 5 spots better....though his rebounding #s should be better, but you get my point... 348 Days ago

Jordan, Kobe, Shaq learned it takes a team to win a championship rather than just a bunch of prima donnas. When Wade won, he had great role players. 348 Days ago

LeBron James will never be respected. He refuses to utilize his physical gifts to their maximum (settling for poor jump shots instead of developing a post game), lacking a killer instinct and shying away from the big moment, flopping all over the court and whining like a pansy to try to get his way, and basically acting like everything should be handed to him on a silver platter. He won't earn respect if he gets a ring with the Heat because he had to team up with Wade to do it, and yet he is clueless as to why people hate him. And for me, that last part is the most annoying of all. He will never be an MJ, Bird, Magic, or even a Kobe because at his core, LeBron is not a winner. He's a whiner. 348 Days ago

I would go a step beyond and say until he wins a championship, in a full 82 game season, hitting the final 3ptr in Game 7 of the Finals with the game on the line, he won't ever be in the Jordan/Kobe etc..debate. 348 Days ago

maybe not game 7, but the "flu game" had a big impact on the series in 97 when Jordan hit the game winning 3 348 Days ago
