Free-agent fits for the Knicks

NBA

The Knicks' 2014-15 season is in shambles, as the current roster has not taken to the triangle offense, and the defense has been even worse. With New York currently in possession of the second-worst winning percentage in the NBA, the search for a savior has naturally shifted to the offseason -- namely, free agency.

The insatiable New York market demands a quick fix (after all, no one wants to hear that salvation is "just 20 blocks away around the corner") and as expected, the wish list trends toward having the biggest names. But with the organization fully committed to the triangle offense, it makes no sense to spend indiscriminately on big names, and the Knicks need to focus their search on players who fit their desired culture and intellectual and on-court demands.
