Defense is getting older and older, Urlacher & Peppers known around Chicago as Mutt & Jeff are not getting any younger, this year might be their last year together before they ship them out.

Drafting Bruce Irvin and putting a chip on his shoulder could have been the smartest thing Seattle did in the draft.

Irvin never started a game at WVU? That is just absolutely false... What was he doing his senior season then?!

Why is it necessary for Irvin or any player to be a three down player? They are not used that way. Every down is now a situation substitution. WR's come in and out. RB's substitute on passing downs. Even the linemen are rotated to remain fresh or get a better match-up. All teams bring in a speed rusher on third down in their nickle package. Seattle has a combination of DE's in Red Bryant and Bruce Irvin that will give them the best of both rush and pass defense. The every down skill set is rarely found anymore and the Seahawks aren't looking for it.

He may be legit, but he's only 5'10". I very much doubt that Flynn will be backing him up in a year. LOL. Thanks for the laugh.

Chargers G.M. A.J. Smith won his draft and is looking like a genius. I kid you not. 3 of their top 4 will be pro-bowlers and Kendall Reyes should be a great player as well. San Diego Super Bowl Super Chargers baby. In 2 years i guarantee it. Next year, theyll win 9-11.

Its being salty.....i bet you were salty when you guys lost twice in the AFC championship and didnt make the playoffs last year. Your coach will be canned in 2 years after 2 more seasons of not being in the playoffs. How are those Knicks doing? Must of been nice seing the Giants win another one in your home city. By the way, who owns the New Meadowlands?

and thats why i love being in San Diego - so quiet once the Chargers and Padres lose! As well as whenever the JETS beat them in their own hometown!

If NFL defenses have a hope in countering good quarterbacks with multiple weapons it starts with inside, pocket crushing pressure. Sacks may be prettier, but pressure more vital. The role of safeties has to lean to faster, bigger more skilled coverage, as opposed to run stoppers. The middle of the field has to be taken away from a three step drop. Virtually all, exception Perry, of the Packer draftees bring something to the table. They don't have to be all pros, they'll have specific roles to perform. Capers is till salivating with his new toolbox.

So Perry's pass rushing abilities will bring nothing to the Packers, whose biggest need is a pass rush?

It's a copycat league. The Giants D line mauled their way to a super bowl title and the rest of the league is trying to copy the blue print. The problem is that nobody in this draft is on par with Tuck or Pierre-Paul. D tackle was the deep position not pass rusher.

The draft was deep in 3-4 OLB.

The Giants have two great DLmen in Tuck and Pierre-Paul. Love'em both. But in general, no one was too scared of the Giant defense. Yeah, they got hot at the right time, but even with those two studs, opposing quarterbacks had few problems. The edge rush is less important then pocket crushing. We are going to see significant defensive changes with more packages and less classic 43 or 34.

Hayword over Shields for the 3rd cornerback role for the pack? I'm doubting that unless your expecting Charles Woodson to move to safety

The math of the extra 1.1 million it cost the Redskins to get RG3 is wrong in that he didn't factor in the extra picks the Skins gave up..those extra picks have the a value..what the COST of moving up is closer to 10 million than 1

Actually, by giving up picks they saved more money.
