so much for the Nordiques 2.0. Good to see the Yotes succeed, though.

Not to rain on the parade, but the Kings are a BUZZSAW - only one loss in the playoffs while ousting the #1 and #2 seeds as the #8 seed? SCARY

"Let's see what these playoffs have done to this team," Jacobs said Thursday following his end of the season news conference with his son and team principal Charlie Jacobs along with Bruins president Cam Neely. "The statistics and the demographics of Phoenix are very big. That's a very, very big market. ".................... This is a quote from the Bruins' owner, someone who is much more qualified to decide whether markets are big enough to support what than you tools who insist that Phoenix should lose the 'Yotes....

Anyone who says sports are not rigged, I have two co.ments. Take it for what it's worth. Number one, The NBA referee who caught gambling to have the team he needed to win.... And number two, the New Orlean Saints... And I'm sure there's more. I just hope the Coyotes get a fair chance!!!! GO YOTES! U CAN DO IT!!!!!!

I just want to know why the refs, who work for the NHL, would go against a team owned by the NHL. The Coyotes are playing great, but I highly doubt the refs are out to get them.

if the Coyotes keep playing like are now, even the refs won't be able to stop them from winning the cup.

As a life long Coyotes (and Arizona sports fan) I could not be happier about their success. The only bad thing is that it had to happen the year that I moved to Texas.

Maybe ESPN should have started paying attention to the Coyotes in February when they went undefeated....Yotes thrive being the underdog and flying under the radar...Keep it up Boys!

LOL like that would ever happen. If the jersey doesn't have "Rangers" or a big "B" on it, ESPN doesn't give a damn. Been that way forever, and it will be that way forever.

Series is not over yet. Yotes barely won two games, lots of missed chances. This will change , PREDS will win the next 3.

They barely won the previous series. They barely won 3 games. They barely will win today. Barely. Win. And the preds barely lose. Barely. Lose. But barely. You sound really pathetic.

By your reasoning, the Coyotes should have swept the Predators since Nashville got lucky in scoring 2x in 66 seconds. Nashville barely won that game. So do we want to go with that kind of reasoning or should we be more realistic....................Coyotes outplayed Nashville in 3 of the 4 games and that is why they are up 3-1.

You are right. They should have scored 100 goals. 27 is not enough though. Are you sure you are talking about hockey not basketball?

only scored 27 goals so far in the playoffs. Yea I would call that exciting!!

Attendance Records of Phoenix, Chicago and Nashville from 2000 to 2007. Go to ESPN and check out them out. Rank out of 30 Teams 2000 to 2007. Phoenix: 27th, 29th, 29th, 19th, 22nd, 24th. Chicago: 24th, 23rd, 24th, 27th, 29th, 29th. Nashville: 18th, 26th, 30th, 28th, 25th, 23rd. So according to reasoning by the brickheads below, all three teams should have been moved.

Im just afraid that the NHL is going to hand the Coyotes the cup, so that a stanley cup winning team will look more appealing to a buyer. I hope the officiating does not get more lop sided. Nothing against the Coyotes, they are a awesome team, and your goalie is outstanding. I just don't trust the NHL and the officiating.

And they don't need to attract an owner, they aren't trying to convince Jamison to buy the team he's already spent months working at getting them. They have their man, so winning to try and find an owner is a ridiculous notion.

Anybody whos a fan of the NHL or has actually played at a somewhat higher competitive level of hockey in their life knows refs swallow their whistles during the playoffs because they never want a series or even a game to be determined by the refs. It was been this way since the beginning of time. And besides Torres was a huge assett to the Coyotes coming with the experience of playing in two stanley cups and they give him 25 games for the hit on Hossa!!! I;m not saying the hit didnt warrant a game or two but 25?!?!?!? There were some way more shady things going on between Pitt and Philly and the cross check to the beek by Asham was just flat out dirty and he only got what 4 games. If this was fixed, ( which by the way is the most absured statement I've heard about the NHL by some ignorant casual fan since "players should be suspended everytime they drop there gloves") then Torres wouldnt have got 25 games for an open ice hit that led with his shoulder. Plus there are so many other reasons that make this statement ridiculess, I could go on, but I digress.

As far as any sports being fixed, I have 2 things to say. Number 1 ...... The ref who got caught gambling on games in the NBA and y two..... The New Orlean Saints....need more be said, it's all about the good ol' money. I just have to say, " show them wrong Coyotes"! GO YOTES!!!!! S

if this were the case and the NHL could influence how teams do in the playoffs, I dont think they would have been swept last year, especially when they were in more danger of moving last year than this year, before the playoffs started.

That is quite rediculous to say when there are bad calls both ways in every game! Morris's pass was clearly deflected an what about them mauling Smith overtime the puck came near him watch the replays. Saying that I.know the Yotes got away with a few too.

Two things to address: One, while it makes sense that the Coyotes have struggled to make a name for themselves due to heretofore lack of success, to say that they're essentially anonymous IN THE 5TH LARGEST CITY IN THE COUNTRY seems a stretch. I get a little tired of the "let's shock the world!" thing. Why would it be incomprehensible that good teams in a giant city be successful? Is hockey in um, Nashville more visible? Talk about a small town, no offense..... Second thing, Taylor Johnson: Either you've never been to Jobing dot com Arena or you're trying to blow east valley smoke up our collective rears (for those of you not from Phoenix, some people from the east side of our city are desperate to maintain an old, tired notion that they have more money and are superior). There is literally nothing ghetto about where the Coyotes play and the bars and entertainment district around the arena in WestGate are as serviceable as anything anywhere.... Cut the crap.....

The arena location is the by far the biggest problem for Yotes attendance. Everybody knows this, yet doesn't want to come out & admit it. I am a season ticket holder & live in Arcadia. I've missed 22 games due to time restrictions. It's a pain in the $@%! getting out there on weeknights...

I love the Coyotes and am glad to see them finally succeed... but getting to Glendale (even if you work in central Phoenix) s-u-c-k-s. Sitting in 4 hours of traffic to see a 2-3 hour game? No thank you! Looking back on it, South Scottsdale would have been a better venue. On the bright side, the same thing happened to the New Jersey Devils in 1995 (franchise about to leave town) and then they went on to win the cup by sweeping Detroit... so... maybe the Coyotes will stay.

Why do south Scottsdale hockey fans deserve a team more than the west valley? There's a million people out here, too....

Traveling for football is not as inconvenient as for all the other sports. Football is once a week, usually on a Sunday afternoon. It's no big deal to travel 30-40 miles from the east valley for one game. But it's far different when you have to travel that distance on a Tuesday night, when you have kids. What many people don't realize is that Metro Phoenix sprawls in all directions. Most cities in the east are based by rivers so they don't grow in all directions, plus their distance from city center is far smaller. The east valley, which contains more than a third of the population is 30-40 minutes from the arena. That is significant.

exactly. season ticket holders for a sport like hockey in a city like phoenix, it's tough making it to multiple games a week (especially if the stadium is in glendale). but football, like you said, for a season ticket holder is more accommodating in our city; it's one day a week and you can make a day of it. plus, it helps that the cardinals have more tenure in the city resulting in a bigger fan base.

The Cardinals are having no trouble selling tickets right next door. All it takes is one good year and everything can change. I feel pretty confident that this team is staying.

THe Cardinals only have 8 home games a year, on weekends mind you..compared to 41 home games scattered throughout the week. Not much of a comparison

i live in phoenix on central and glendale, in the heart of phoenix, so relax... not on the east side. while westgate has a lot to offer, overall, glendale is a terrible place and the majority of our city would say the same... sorry. torontosportsfan101 is exactly right.... the coyotes franchise would be much more successful if it were in the city. don't be bitter 'cause you live on the west side.

There's as many ghetto neighborhoods just west of you as there is in the southwest valley (where I don't live). What's your deal, fool? You can't imagine anyone having money and being successful other than you? Let me say it again, moron. I don't live by the stadium; I live in exclusive Arrowhead Ranch. I live next to other doctors, attorneys, and judges. Are you really so lame as to believe that there are no decent suburbs other than the ones you have given your blessing? Um, wow....lol....

i live 2 blocks from the last presidential republican candidate, google how much his house sold for... i went to high school with the family who sold the land to the bidwell's for the stadium. there is nothing someone west of I-17 could say to offend me. glendale won the bid for the location because the city was struggling and needed the income AND the city of glendale is about to get sued by the arizona cardinals. i guess the insensibility of the city officials there rubs off on the community.

I live in exclusive lake community, you tool...lol.... My standard of living is such that my family can buy and sell you, so bitterness is out of the equation. South Glendale is scary. North Glendale is as nice as anywhere, and has the tax base to prove it.
